Love it! I resonate deeply with this whole stack. I was just talking with my twin brother today and we both felt the exact seem thing over the last 10 days, we are being called to leap into the unknown and fully trust that GOD is making the way. Follow that nudge! One of my favorite quotes from Terrence McKenna - “Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.”
Thank you! I appreciate your encouragement. To this point, I've only supported my family with what "I" could control (a steady paycheck from software work). It has not been easy to let go of that control and "safety." But I am opening up to even greater abundance and possibilities beyond what I could imagine.
If you’re open and willing to share more about this transition I know I would love to hear more. I am at the very same threshold myself. In 2020, I was engrossed in a 9 to 5 stressful job to provide for my family, and I simultaneously had a very profound and clear paradigm shifting vision during a meditation about where we are going and what we as an entire world can co-create together. ANd it was not what I was currently creating in my, stuffy corporate America narrative job. I saw the eco centric communities, I saw geodesic domes, I saw planetary healing and an overall raising in consciousness. I even made a video to clarify and share the vision I had. Anyways I still find myself straddled on the fence between the old paradigm and the new. I’m still working on a 9-5 and while it’s more heart centered it’s not aligned to my creative passion. I too feel the call to courageously jump in the deep end. I know I am supposed to help create these newer communities, I know that I am supposed to act upon the visions I keep having…I am simply scared. (Insert “activate courage” button) i feel ready and I just don’t know the first step
It is scary, and I'm sure your journey will have its own nuances. Without knowing all of your details, my initial thoughts are to either find an existing community with similar values (to have support and start tasting that community life) and/or move from a 9-5 to contract work (to have more control over your compensation and time).
Looks like you're doing great work. I'm working to create an off-ramp for people that doesn't require a hard stop and pivot on the life they are familiar with. Would you be open to collaboration?
Absolutely! I am so thankful that there are a diversity of solutions being explored. I read "From Mountain Dreams to Urban Reality." I definitely understand what you mean about doing what we can in place, and improving the existing urban environment. Those solutions are very important.
I am not advocating that everyone should up and leave the cities. The network state and regenerative communities can apply anywhere.
The rural village development angle that we're taking is both a nature conservation effort (buy it and steward it before it gets turned into a CAFO or other industrial agriculture endeavor), and geared towards particular demographics that need the escape from urban environments to do some deep healing (homeless, domestic violence and sex trafficking victims, alienated LGBTQIA+ youth, etc).
Please consider adding the FarmFresh 24/7 app. It's a free app designed to create a network of hyperlocal food systems that connects local makers, bakers, and growers to buy, sell, or barter with one another while divesting from harmful big box corporate food entity's.
Thank you! That is an awesome app. I am trying to find where it fits into the lists in this post. I could possibly see it fitting in the "Network State" list of projects, since it is a layer of technology that connects us to bring resilience. Though it seems like a different class of application that really deserves its own post and separate list, including other apps like Olio. What do you think?
i've also been called to something like this--God will show us the way if we put our faith in Him and the mystery. i keep being called to retreat in solitude to nature, to the desert, in prayer and contemplation, and help the community that way. i'm certain i'll do that one day, but in the meantime, i'll study this, hold the vision, and start the work.
Retreating into solitude and nature is a fantastic way to re-connect with God and get clarity on our path. There are so many distractions in modern life. If your health permits, I also highly suggest fasting while you do it.
Thank you for the encouragement. I would be delighted to discuss any questions you run into when you study and start the work.
Great post…and love the general message of building an ark, or a network of arks. This is well aligned with the idea of a network of regenerative/ circular economy villages at https://polisplan.com.au
Yes, there is a ton of alignment with PolisPlan. Thank you for sharing! I didn't link it again in this article, but PolisPlan also reminds me of the Venus Project that I linked in the initial Inspiration for BioHarmony post. https://bioharmony.substack.com/p/inspiration-for-bioharmony
Yes, the Venus Project was one of many inspirations for us. I think the vision—of a network of regenerative villages—is something many people readily connect with (see also global ecovillage network). Our work relates primarily to the implementation strategy. How do we get from the world we are in to the one we want, converting this vision into reality.

Love this and am yearning to witness you integrate Open Source Everything Guild and the process therein into BioHarmony writings.
Yes, it is going to be an exciting partnership! I am looking forward to seeing the OSE Guild take shape!

What kind of collaboration do you have in mind?

Thanks for checking in out! After taking a look at Olio I think that a separate article with these types of resources would be helpful.
Sounds great, got a draft started! Thank you!
Awesome! Can't wait to read it!
i love this entire thing this entire message.
